ALTFINLAB
UNDP AltFinLab supports country offices and partners in understanding and using crowdfunding, social impact bonds, blockchain-based cash transfers, forecast-based finance, peer-to-peer lending, for solving development challenges. We use alternative finance to bridge the $2.5 billion funding gap for the sustainable development goal agenda.
DATA
INNOVATION
We support our UNDP country offices and partners in prototyping and scaling data innovation and digital products to build understanding and foresight on key development issues such as air pollution or environmental degradation. Flagship initiatives include the Ministry of Data, regional and national open data challenges for developing creative data-driven tools and solutions to community issues.
URBAN TRANSFORMATION
To reimagine urban development and governance challenges, we work with cities across the Europe and Central Asia region to develop portfolios of diverse, innovative, and context-specific experiments that have impact. Using an approach at the intersection of sectors, technologies and city realms, we provide both tools and funding to prepare for the future.
PORTFOLIO DEVELOPMENT & MANAGEMENT
To create robust, adaptable and effective development programs, we offer UNDP country offices tools for designing portfolios (programs, projects, activities etc.) and accelerating the impact of their work. We support the dynamic development and management of portfolios, constantly adjusting and adapting as circumstances change in unpredictable ways.
BOOST
UNDP BOOST is a regional acceleration program on a mission to boost and scale solutions to Covid-19 challenges. Beyond the immediate health crisis, Covid-19 has impacted our economy, the future of work, governance, and health. BOOST aims to accelerate social impact innovation that will reimagine the way we work and live to create a more sustainable future.
